The latest addition to the Mello clan. I still can't believe I did it, but, how could I refuse this adorable creature. She's 7 yrs. old and the best dog ever...sleep-eat...snore....sleep-eat...snore. She is a very good dog well trained with a great disposition. The grandkids just love her...our Charlie thinks she's pig....really cute. That could be because grandpa calls her Miss Piggy...but I prefer Millie.
It's spring again...thank goodness...all the beautiful flowers are in bloom..but, it also means spring sports are back. Jens' little Helena is playing what you might call a never ending game..TEE BALL. Then my son Rob coaches his two boys Jake and Trevor in flag football....my son David has 6 children..who play soccer and baseball and my son Tony has a son and daughter playing that wonderful entertaining game TEE BALL. Two out of the four have sent their schedules...it looks like a busy spring. I really do enjoy watching the children. On our visits out to Utah, we have had the privilege of watching our grandson Lear play soccer. It's really special and we try our best to get to all the games, even the ones in Pa. I'll be posting pictures as the season goes on. Enjoy.
Got one of those telephone calls yesterday when you hear, Mom, can you please come over and watch Charlie and Lydia..I need to take Helena to the ER, she fell at school and busted her lip, lost a tooth and bruised her gums...Poor baby. She's okay....thank goodness...it was a baby tooth that was already loose and the doctor said her gums will heel...the lip is still swollen, but she's doing fine.
Here's a picture of the almost like new Helena...what a doll baby. We spent the afternoon together, shopping and crafting. Grandchildren are the best. P.S. That's chocolate on her top lip...we did some snacking too....
This past Christmas my youngest daughter Jennifer the mother of three small children surprised me with this wonderful art work...around the title "Grandchildren are Love" she designed personalized images of all the children. I have such talented daughters... my boys are terrific too.. Can you tell I'm a proud Mama..
Last night Bob and I met some old and dear friends for dinner. It was such a great evening, we talked about our children, grandchildren and how beautiful, handsome and of course precious they are to us..many stories and many laughs..it was so much fun being with them again. Between us we have 9 children and 22 grandchildren...so needless to say we talked the night away. Sometimes we lose contact with people for a while and then one night at dinner and all the old feelings are back. A friendship like this one will always survive..no matter how long we've been apart.
