Last night Bob and I met some old and dear friends for dinner. It was such a great evening, we talked about our children, grandchildren and how beautiful, handsome and of course precious they are to us..many stories and many laughs..it was so much fun being with them again. Between us we have 9 children and 22 grandchildren...so needless to say we talked the night away. Sometimes we lose contact with people for a while and then one night at dinner and all the old feelings are back. A friendship like this one will always survive..no matter how long we've been apart.
I am so glad you had a great time. I had lunch with Cindy (BYU) this weekend and felt the same way! Old friends rock!
ReplyDeleteAnd did you talk about blogging? hmmmmm? And the person who got you into it? hmmmm?
ReplyDeleteI'm doing this again...not sure why my last comment is not showing...here goes...yes, we love you, you are the greatest..ok ok Thought you might like to hear that Larry said that if he had to pick 10 of his all time favorite students you would be one of them...he still calls you Wonder Women...lol
ReplyDeleteOh, really? *blushing* He is one cool dude.
ReplyDeleteOur dearest friends got divorced a couple of years ago, but we still see them both often; friendships like that are a treasure. The friendship with the woman (Molly), though, has recently evolved, due to the loss of their son, Ryan (age 17). Now, when we go out for dinner, every word is examined for appropriateness first; imagine talking with those friends of yours without glowing about your kids, and you will know what I mean. It's tough. Please pray for Molly today... (and I hope this wasn't too much of a downer for you!)
